Health & wellness Shop
Here are some products I recommend to help on your health and fitness journey.
1.) Nutribullet
-
I am not that great at eating a lot of fruit and vegetables but since getting a Nutribullet in 2015 I have a shake every morning containing 4 of my ‘5 a day’ in a matter of minutes
2.) Supergreens powder
-
I have 2 glasses of supergreens (in water) every day. One in the morning and one in the evening. It improves energy levels and improves health through it alkaline properties which help cleanse and detoxify the body
3.) Super reds powder
-
I take this every day, usually first thing in the morning along with my supergreens. It’s very high In vitamins and minerals and has qualities that promote healthy skin, hair and nails
4.) Vegan Protein Powder
-
I have a scoop in some water after a workout which refuels and repairs muscles fast. I prefer vegan protein because it’s easier for the body to break down and I feel less bloated after drinking that with animal proteins. I quite often have a scoop in my pre-bed bowl of porridge which helps me sleep at night.
5.) IP-6 Inositol Capsules
-
These come in capsule format and I take 2 of these a day. They improve cell recovery which for me helps recovery after exercise. Because it promotes and builds healthy cells, some people take this to help them through particular illnesses including those that may require chemotherapy.
6.) Stainless Steel Water Bottle
-
It’s very important to stay hydrated throughout the day but if you have a busy schedule it’s easy to forget. This stainless steel water bottle keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot all day. There are 2 different sizes 600ml and 1000ml, I have the 1000ml to ensure I drink at least that during the day without needing to refill more than once
7.) L'Oréal Paris Men Expert
Anti -Ageing Moisturiser
-
I’m not a vain person but I do think it’s important to look after your skin so apply this moisturiser every morning and have it on repeat subscribe & save order so I never run out!
8.) Cast Iron Kettlebell
-
I have a few of these in a variety of weights that I use for both full body workouts and specific weight training exercises
9.) Abdominal roller
-
I use this 3 – 4 times a week either in the house or in the office which is great for keeping the stomach and core strong
10.) Exercise Step Up
-
This is something I use 3 – 4 time a week as an effective calorie burning technique. Your leg and glute muscles are the biggest muscle on your body so therefore burn the most calories when using them. It’s a great beginner friendly way to get basic fitness up but can also be used to take it to the next level when you start adding weights to a routine
11.) Large wheelie bin
-
Or as I call it, my “plunge pool”!! I start nearly every morning with a 5 minute ‘plunge’ in my wheelie bin I keep full of cold water! There are many health benefits to this including improved immunity and circulation, stress relief, better mood, reduced inflammation and relief of muscle soreness. For me it also builds up my mental toughness! Climbing in to a cold bin of water every morning is something that most people would find tough to do, but once you do it and keep doing it regularly you start doing more thing that you might normally have turned down. I find my days and morning in particular to be much more productive when they start with a morning ‘plunge’!
12.) Fitbit Charge 3
-
Once I was given my first Fitbit Charge 2 for Christmas in 2017, I have never been without one. I now have an upgraded version, the Fitbit Charge 3 that I wear all the time. This not only motivates me to get my daily steps up but also tracks my sleep. The importance of sleep shouldn’t be underestimated. For many years I was a poor sleeper, quite often only getting 4 -5 hours per night. Since using this Fitbit I now use it to factor good sleep patterns in to my daily and weekly routines. This not only tracks the amount of sleep you’ve had but also the quality of it. Best investment made in recent years. There is a newer Fitbit Charge 4 model but I’m still super happy with the 3 so don’t feel the need to upgrade just yet.
13.) Muscle Massage Gun
-
Oh…. My….. goodness…!!! This is a great little machine! As someone who exercises regularly (and is also in my 40’s), this is a great way to get rid of any muscle stiffness or soreness after working out but also getting rid of any general aches and pains. As someone that would have been to the physio around once a month, the cost of this massage gun has saved me a lot of money in the long run. With a range if different speed settings and attachments, you can get different deep tissue massages or relaxing massages as required. As well as reducing muscle stiffness, since using this massage gun, my sleep as also improved. Money well spent!
14.) Portable Traction Strap
-
This might not be for everyone but having played rugby for 20+ years from time to time I do get a few aches and pains up one side of my neck. This traction strap is something I use every day for around 5-10 minutes and since using it the neck aches have greatly reduced including the mild stiffness I’d have experienced every morning. Inexpensive way to look after my spine.
15.) iPhone Headphones
-
I do a lot of walking, including an early morning power walk. I spend this time listening to my favourite podcasts or audiobooks to make sure I’m always working on myself. Exercising and learning….. who says men can’t multitask?! These are the best headphones I have come across for sound quality and easy to use. I have several pairs and treat them like my mobile phone, a pair comes with me everywhere!
16.) Tassimo Coffee Maker
-
I have to admit I love my coffee in the morning. I’ve tried many different coffee machines but this is by far my favourite and easiest to use and keep clean and also quite low in cost along with ongoing cost of the coffee pods.
17.) Tassimo Coffee Pods
-
I have this variety bundle on repeat order which is competitive to begin with but repeat order gets a further 5% discount each time.
18.) Jacobs Caffe Crema Intenso
-
Whilst I like a bit of variety with my coffee, this is my favourite to date.
19.) Inspire now Journal
-
One of my daily habits is to journal both first this in the morning then before I go to bed a night. Through this I’m able to plan my day and my week to make them as productive as possible but I also acknowledge everything in my life that I’m grateful for ensuring I always keep a positive outlook on life. Even when things are tough, there’s always something to be grateful for To get you started and help you get the most out of this journal, there’s a goal setting section at the start that you can review regularly as you go. Each week you will look back on the week just passed to acknowledge what you’ve accomplished and what could be better. There is also daily/weekly habit trackers to help you stay on target with goals whether they’re exercise, sleep or business related. One of the good things about this journal is that there are no set dates in this journal, you get to complete the dates yourself so if for whatever reason you skip a week or two of journaling, you can pick up where you left off without having lots of blank pages in between. I re-order this journal every 6 months and have yet to find one better.
20.) mAN bAG
-
As someone who reads a lot, journals and write slot, this shoulder bag is something I bring everywhere with me. I keep my laptop and other books and notepads in here along with pens, pencils and mobile phone. I’ve had it for over 2 years now and all straps, zips and buckles are fully intact proving that its not only very useful but durable too!
